Bloomio
Startup investment platform
Overview: problem
Startup investment in many European countries still seems like and long and boring procedure, available only for rich people. Yet a lot of retail investors (smaller investors, e.g. housewives, office workers, people with average or a big higher than average salaries) would love to invest in startups.
User Research
We studied our target market and together with product manager we conducted interviews and send questionnaires to those who might be interested in startup investment.

Pain points

– investing is complicated and requires lots of money
– people are not sure how it works online
– people are afraid that startups are fake, they do not have any real products and they can not trust them.
Design
After discussing the mockups, we started work on the user interface design.

The old version of the product developed a few years ago and not yet launched was quite boring and lacked brand identity. We completely reworked it and decided on a different communication message we want to convey through our design:
Investment is fun and easy.
Web design
We discussed lots of concepts and explored various design directions before choosing the final brand style for the product and website. I needed to play with the colors a startup currently uses for its communications in order to make a website look fun and engaging:

Using the vivid and light colors to convey that startup investment can be done by anybody, I designed the responsive website:
Copywriting

All copy was written by me to help a startup launch faster and convey the messages correctly.

Conclusion
The application is in development and will soon be launched for a public.

The next step would be usability testing and optimization.
